Ocean I of Sunny Isles Beach

The Ocean I Lifestyle

As the first tower in the Sunny Isles Beach Ocean series, the Related Group of Florida used Ocean I as the blueprint by which all of the future towers would be developed. Constructed in 1999, Ocean I was not only the standard for its own community, but also for the rest of the development of Sunny Isles Beach- which had incorporated only two years prior.

Located at the northeast corner of Sunny Isles Beach on the renowned Collins Avenue, Ocean I gives buyers unprecedented local access to all the excitement, shopping, and fine dining the North Miami Beach area has to offer. Inside the community, buyers will also find all of the amenities and services that they have come to expect from upscale condominium living in South Florida.

Set amidst the 6.3 acres of lavish landscaping, residents have access to a variety of outdoor amenities usually thought to be reserved for a five-star resort vacation. This outdoor resort lifestyle starts at Ocean I’s 700-foot stretch of private white sand beach. Residents can relax in a lounge under the cool shade of an Ocean I umbrella, or have a beach-style barbeque at one of the community’s private cabanas.

And- for those who prefer fresh water but still want their ocean view- the Ocean I waterfront pool and spa serves as the perfect outdoor location. In addition- for a more active upscale lifestyle- Ocean I also offers dual, Professional-grade, hard-surface tennis courts. As with the pool area, the tennis courts are also positioned to take advantage of Ocean I’s signature Atlantic views.

Bringing the leisure time inside, buyers will also find a wide range of indoor amenities at Ocean I’s fourth floor fitness center and health spa. This center houses a full-range of exercise equipment, aerobics rooms, men’s and women’s locker rooms, sauna and steam- as well as a full staff of personal trainers and massage therapists. On the entertainment side, the center is also home to a number of multi-media and conference rooms that residents can reserve for both private parties and at-home business.

The Structure

In designing the Ocean I, the world-renowned Sieger Suarez Partnership put the heart of Miami into their structure. To accentuate the structure’s dynamic, dual-towered, suspended design, a warm deco color palette was mixed with Miami’s signature white-wash.

Driving under a spectacular columned porte cochere, residents and guests leave their cars with the waiting valet attendants and enter Ocean I through an expansive three-story grand lobby lying between the two condominium buildings. Over the lobby, the fitness center, health spa, and media rooms are made easily accessible from either tower. Each of Ocean I’s two towers rises 30 stories over the Atlantic, and is topped with an elegant, peaked, glass roof.

The Views

[text] The most desired view from Ocean I is quite obviously the oceanfront view from the east side of the structure. Buyers to this side of towers can look forward to Ocean I’s signature unobstructed, panoramic Atlantic view- a precious rarity even in the pre-dominantly waterfront Miami real estate market. Condominium buyers to the west side of the structure will also enjoy waterfront vistas of Miami’s famous, Intracoastal waterway- where Miami’s most privileged boaters bring their vessels.

On the north side of the Ocean I structure, the views follow Collins Avenue between the Atlantic and the Intracoastal, looking up towards luxurious cityscapes of Golden Beach and Aventura. The southern views also follow Collins Ave. down towards Miami’s posh beach and club areas in Surfside and Bal Harbour.

Ocean I Condominiums

Within the Ocean I towers, there are only 241 private residences available for possible sale. When the tower was originally opened all of these 241 units sold out within less than 18 months- a record even in a booming real estate market like Miami. This demand- in addition to being brought about by Ocean I’s location and amenities- was also attributed to the development’s unique and expansive condominium models.

All of the Ocean I condominiums feature a signature see-through, Ocean-to-Intracoastal layout that allows owners to take advantage of the Ocean I views on at least two sides of the building. Entrance into a condominium starts as you exit the elevator, where each residence has it’s own private foyer.

Behind a solid, double wood entry door, the entryway gallery allows buyers to set the tone for their residence in style. The elegant expansiveness of each condo continues all the way out its multiple room-sized private balconies. In addition to the standard array of rooms, the Ocean I condos also feature a formal dining area with it’s own private balcony, a breakfast nook in the kitchen, and a separate laundry room- complete with a full-capacity washer and dryer.

In the kitchen, granite countertops compliment elegant custom wood cabinetry. The kitchens include a full-range of state-of-the-art appliances, including a built-in microwave. In the bath areas, elegant marble flooring and vanities set off nicely against porcelain sinks and lavatories. The master bath also comes complete with a full-size whirlpool tub, to allow residents to pamper themselves in the comfort of their own home.

Ocean I condominiums come in both 2- and 3-bedroom models, and current MLS price listings start in the $750’s.
